Comprehensive restoration of an old farmhouse for a private client, aimed at transforming it into a livable residence while preserving its traditional essence.
In this task, we began by reinforcing the existing original structure, rebuilding all interior floorings, and proposing an extension that integrates harmoniously
After meticulously restoring all natural stone walls, achieving the same materiality in both the old and new parts, we have treated the interior of the farmhouse as if it were a new construction.
Working collaboratively
The interior has been adorned with top-quality materials and meticulously crafted by skilled professionals. An example of this is the adaptation of ceramic tiles for the flooring, featuring an irregular geometry that mirrors the original stone facades of the farmhouse.
Sustainable energy
The facilities, equipped with underfloor heating and aerothermal systems, have been designed to meet the highest standards of energy efficiency, providing the expected comforts within the home’s contemporary construction.
We have paid special attention to a series of structural elements, such as exterior openings with natural stone lintels and the roof, where we recreated an eave from the period using ordinary brick arranged at a 45-degree angle and tiles. In the case of Arabic tiles, we have reused those from a demolition, respecting the useful life that the materials provide.
